Dear Friends and Neighbors,

My name is Denise Garza, and I am asking for your support as I run to become your next Cameron County Clerk.

For over 23 years, I have served our community in public education, currently as a member of the Brownsville Independent School District (BISD). My service has never been about titles or recognition. It is about living with a servant's heart. This means putting the needs of others before our own, leading with humility, and helping people not for applause but because it is the right thing to do.

The Cameron County Clerk's Office is full of potential, and it is time to bring out the best in it. I believe the staff and the public deserve a workplace culture built on respect, collaboration, and consistency. That is why I am stepping forward to lead with integrity, accountability, and a heart for service. Together, we can create a united team and a welcoming environment that truly serves our community.

My motivation is simple: to serve well, not for recognition, not for power, but because I care deeply about this community and the people in it. This is what it means to lead with a servant's heart.

Let us restore pride and purpose to the Clerk's Office and treat every person who walks through its doors with dignity.
